[0012] Patent EP2532806 (ES2598702T3) describes a device for leveling rigid cladding plates arranged on a surface to be clad, the device in question comprising a leveling element and a clamping wedge and a tool or manual pincer for its operation.

[0014] The leveling element, with a T-section, comprises a flat base adapted to be supported on the surface to be coated, and a flat wing, attached perpendicularly to the base and provided in its lower part with a first opening in which the wedge and extreme recesses to weaken it against shear stresses.

[0016] The clamping wedge comprises a lower seating face and an upper working face, adapted to transmit a pulling force towards the second element that tends to separate the leveling piece from the surface; said work face presenting grooves that define saw teeth, to block the movement of the wedge backwards with respect to the second element.

This curling iron has some characteristics aimed at satisfactorily solving the problems set forth regarding the fixing of the support element in different positions, suitable for acting on the leveling pieces and for leveling tiles of different thicknesses.

[0030] Specifically, this pliers comprises: - a first, straight arm that has a handle at one rear end and a guide bar at the front end for the movable mounting of a support stop for the leveling element; - a second arm, at an angle, which has a rear end provided with a handle and at a front end a contact surface with the push wedge; - an axis of rotation of the pincer arms and; - means for fixing the support stop in different positions along the guide bar of the first arm.

1. - Pliers for tightening leveling pieces of cladding tiles, in particular of a push wedge (C) and a leveling element (E); comprising said pincer:
- a first straight arm (1), which has a handle (10) at a rear end and a guide bar (11) at the front end for movable mounting of a support stop (3) of the leveling element (E) ;
- a second arm (2), at an angle, having a rear end provided with a handle (20) and at a front end a contact surface (21) with the thrust wedge (C);
- an axis (4) of relative rotation the arms (1, 2) of the pincer and;
- means for fixing the support stop (3) in different positions along the guide bar (11) of the first arm (1);
characterized in that:
- the support stop (3) comprises: a passage (31) of a height greater than the bar; an axis (32) mounted in a longitudinal groove (12) of the guide bar (11) and which enables the longitudinal movement of the support stop (3) along the guide bar (11) and its relative rotation between a fixing position and a longitudinal displacement position of the support stop (3) with respect to said guide bar (11); and a spring (33) that acts against a surface of the guide bar (11) and tends to keep the support stop (3) in the fixing position with respect to the guide bar (11) and;
- the means for fixing the support stop (3) in various positions, longitudinally spaced from the guide bar (11), are made up of a straight ratchet comprising: a row of teeth (13) defined along the guide bar (11), and a stop or finger (34) mounted on the support stop (3) and that: in the position of the support stop (3) is housed between any two consecutive teeth (13) of the guide bar (11), and in the longitudinal displacement position of the support stop (3) is arranged at a distance from the end of the teeth (13).

2. - Pincer, according to claim 1, characterized in that the guide bar (11) has a first longitudinal edge (14) that forms the support surface of the spring (33) of the support stop (3) and a second longitudinal edge (15), parallel to the previous one, in which the row of teeth (13) of the ratchet are defined.

3. Pincer, according to claim 1; characterized in that the teeth (13) of the guide bar (11) are inclined towards the rear end of the first arm (1) of the pincer, bearing the corresponding handle (10).

4. Pincer, according to claim 1, characterized in that the guide bar (11) comprises a graduated scale (16) indicating different fixing positions of the support stop (3) with respect to the row of teeth (13) of the ratchet, for leveling tiles of different thicknesses.

5. Pincer, according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a spring (5) that acts against the arms (1, 2) of the pincer and tends to keep the pincer in an open position.
